There’s nothing wrong with having some time to ourselves, but when we get too much of it loneliness can set in. If this happens, you might find yourself feeling worried, anxious or insecure.
Indeed, it’s quite possible to feel lonely, even when you are surrounded by others. You might feel shy, or scared, or socially awkward, or lack the esteem to feel you ‘belong’. Often these feelings have a deeper cause that can be discovered through person-centred therapy. This allows you to address your feelings and to put them in a fuller perspective.
