HENNA BROWS COLCHESTER
Henna has been used for hundreds of years to die skin and hair. It is traditionally thought of as the red tint it gives the skin and orange glow it give hair, but moving on to today there are darker browns and blacks being developed that do not give the orange tinge.
Using henna to dye eyebrows is a great way to get a fuller, fresher look especially if you have finer, fairer hair on your eyebrows.
The henna colours the eyebrow hairs as well as the skin beneath them to give the eyebrow shadow affect and will last up to 6 weeks. Results vary from person to person as oily skin types can lose colour quicker for example.
Henna is a great way to test an eyebrow shape and colour before commiting to microblading or semi permanent makeup.
Henna is used for all hair shades and looks very natural. Your appointment will start with your therapist discussing which tone/colour you would like to use on your brows. The eyebrow area is cleansed throughly to ensure the skin is ready for the henna to be applied.
After they are cleaned your therapist will mark up the eyebrow shape for you so you can agree on the sie and shape before the henna is applied. A paste is usually applied around your eyebrow to ensure no henna gets where it shouldnt. It acts as a barrier to ensure you get the sharp eyebrow shape you are looking for.
Then its time for the henna to be applied! This part may take some time as your therapist wants to be as accurate as possible whilst applying the henna dye.
Once applied the dye takes around 10-20 minutes to develop before being cleaned off. This will be followed by a tidy up of the brows by tweezing and shaping the hairs once cleaned.
